Gavin walked into the bar finding a small booth in the corner sitting down alone looking around at all the younger people walking around talking in their little groups. He hadn’t come to a bar in a long time and for some reason he had found himself riding around and then parking in the lot outside. Cal was going to be out late Studying for her last final and anything beat sitting around waiting for her to get home and he wouldn't be drinking a lot so why couldn't he come around and enjoy some music and maybe play a game of pool with a stranger before heading back to his house and his wife he couldn’t tell anyone about. Gavin motioned for the closest bartender to come over ordering a beer as the waitress got closer to him he figured one wouldn’t hurt and once he got done with it he would cut himself to just water.
When the waitress finally returned with the beer he picked it up taking a long sip of it sitting it back down on the table and leaning back to watch the crowd roll in bringing back lots of memories. He used to come here with his friends when they wanted to go out and get drunk... He always ended up being the DD and putting up with their drunk asses when they stayed at his house to stay away from their parents. He had made a promise to himself that he would never get like that and he still could count how many times he had actually gotten drunk and had to have someone help him walk like he had done for his friends so many times before. Gavin picked his beer up taking a drink and then taking his phone out he needed a friend here with him and he knew just who he wanted to talk to scrolling through his contact he found the name he was looking for and sent a text. '' Hey kenzie im at the bar I need some company please come '' Cole put his phone back down on the table took another sip of beer and leaned back on the booth waiting for his bubbly best friend.

Gavin sat back watching all the younger kids talk and dance in the little clicks they had he couldn't believe that he had grown up so fast and not like everyone else says they have. He had went straight out of high school took two weeks off and then started summer classes in college and ended up being a sophomore by the time fall classes started he own his own place along with his girlfriend Cal of three years and to top it all off after a long weekend in Vages she was now his wife. Gavin didn't mind that she was now his wife it was just shocking that the two of them had actually allowed it to happen like that. They were both adults and could do what they wanted but even if they loved each other and had talked about marriage more then once neither of them figured they would end up married in Vages and most of all they both were having second thought about it. Gavin took another drink of his beer trying to fight off all the thought and worries he had done this all day and now was not the time for it he wanted to relax.
Gavin smiled when he seen Kenzie making her way through the bar crowd and to his booth he knew this wasn't her type of thing but he she would do anything for him and if it meant coming out to a bar at ten at night she did it without even thinking. Gavin and her had an unwritten bond and after dating for three years the bond was stronger then most married couples had. The two of them had made it through being best friends to dating and then breaking up and becoming best friends again without it even getting awkward. Kenzie finally made it to the booth sitting down across from him and asking him what was wrong as she smiled at him. ” Nothing really Kenzie just some stuff with me and Cal.. We aren’t fighting its just some unspoken stuff that we need to work out, but we havent got around to it just yet.''
